The initial situation at SOA was that the future growth targets, coupled with the existing production areas, were reaching their capacity limits. Furthermore, intralogistics is labor and space-intensive, which limits the technical possibilities.

Three key points were set as project objectives:

Comprehensive logistics concept (raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods)
Transformation to automation
Space efficiency within the logistics processes

The role of SCM PLUS was to work out the above objectives with the project team and the system providers in both the concept and detailed planning stages and, based on this, to create a basis for decision-making for the Advisory Board and the Management Board of SWAROVSKI OPTIK. SCM PLUS was also able to solve and implement very complex and difficult structural requirements in its role as a consulting company to the full satisfaction of the customer.
